Ham Sauce

One of our favorite all time things during any holiday season that involves ham is has sauce. Whenever I ask what the kids want me to serve, it is always the first thing they ask for, even before ham... I obtained this recipe from a friend at our church, Bob Larson. It is just the thing to serve with your ham. Sweet and piquant at the same time.

Use a 4 cup measuring cup if you have one and measure it out in this order to make it easier to measure. It uses the displacement way of measuring. Very easy.

1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup condensed tomato soup
3 egg yolks

Melt 1/2 cup butter in saucepan on LOW heat. Stir in remaining ingredients and continue stirring over LOW heat until thick and hot. Serve over ham. Do not rush the heating of this or it will curdle. Stir in the measured ingredients as soon as the butter melts to prevent the eggs from cooking up. Yummo.
